Apple Snack Sandwiches

Apples, raisins, Oats and Honey Chewy Granola Bars and your favorite nut butter is combined to create this deliciously easy, no-bake recipe. Great as an afternoon snack for kids or as a mid-day protein boost, anyone is sure to enjoy the sweet surprise of each apple sandwich!


Ingredients:

5 Oats & Honey Chewy Granola Bars, unwrapped
2 Medium Apples (Gala or Granny Smith)
1/2 Cup Nut Butter (Almond or Peanut)
1/2 Cup Almond Slivers
1/2 Cup Raisins


Supplies:

Apple Corer

Parchment Paper

Baking Sheet

Food Processor

Directions:

  1. Core each apple and slice into 1/2" rings. Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  2. Spread the nut butter on top of each apple.
  3. In a food processor, blend 5 chewy granola bars together until fine.
  4. Mix almond slivers and raisins with granola bars.
  5. Sprinkle granola bar mixture over nut butter.
  6. Place another apple slice on top of granola to make a sandwich.
  7. Repeat until each apple is used.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to use or serve immediately.
